The History Of BTG

BTG314 was originally founded in 2007 as Bridge the Gap by Twyla Lee during her transition from Atlanta, GA to St. Louis, MO.

Founded by Twyla Lee, Bridge the Gap314 is a non-profit, community based organization whose primary goal is to provide support and bridge gaps for families dealing with financial hardships and or households affected by mass incarceration since 2014.

We take pride in being understanding of the everyday needs and struggles that one income households and youth are facing today. Bridge the Gap314 focuses on providing support for middle school to young adult students to meet unmet needs due to mass incarceration or having a deceased parent.  Our mission also includes fostering new relationships and partners in the community to serve families with needs.

Through our efforts, we strive to bridge gaps and help foster joy for youth to young adults by providing monetary grants to ensure youth are able to participate in extracurricular activities.

Bridge the Gap314, Inc., we understand the significance of youth participating in extracurricular activities, events and or post-secondary educational experiences.  We believe that providing access to group and  physical activities inside and outside of school enhances participants' social and emotional wellbeing, there is so much our youth can gain from being involved in extracurricular activities.

We rely on compassionate individuals like you to help us help others.  Your support and contributions play a crucial role in our mission to create a positive impact on the lives of youth to young adults.  Together, we can help meet unmet needs of youth in St. Louis City and St. Louis County.

To sustain our efforts, we ask for your support by purchasing our books or in the form of a tax-deductible monetary donation to our organization. Your involvement will help increase our capacity to provide help to countless youth in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.  Bridge the Gap314 is 501 (c) (3) public charity 47- 1754658
